Eftim Popovski studied Mechanical engineering at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Macedonia. After the bachelor studies, he worked as HVAC engineer for 3 years in Skopje on various HVAC projects in both industrial and building sector. Master studies in Mechanical engineering/Mechatronics at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. Master thesis in 2016 with the topic “Assessing Technical Options for a Renewable and Energy-Efficient Heating and Cooling Supply in a City District“. During his master studies, he worked as a research assistant at Fraunhofer ISI. From June 2017 until February 2019, research associate at Fraunhofer ISI in the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Markets. Since February 2019 he is working at the Institute for Resource Efficiency and Energy Strategies (IREES), he is a Senior Researcher.
