Results dialogues on the heat transition: Options for Munich test areas

🧩🔎 How can we fill the gaps in heat planning? In three results dialogues, we presented residents and local organizations with tailor-made solutions for three test areas in Munich:

🛠️ On behalf of the Department of Climate and Environmental Protection (RKU) of the City of Munich, IREES GmbH and e-think energy research have spent the last few months developing solution options for tomorrow’s heat supply in three test areas – based on data from the municipal heat plan, new and innovative supply options, and the results of stakeholder participation. Now it was time to present the results to local citizens, businesses, and organizations and to discuss the next steps toward climate-friendly heat supply.

💡 We are particularly pleased that experts from energy consulting, trade, and administration were on hand to answer specific questions at the subsequent information market: What do I need to consider in terms of sound insulation so that my heat pump is approved? What does a renovation in line with monument protection look like? And how can I network with neighbors to set up a local heating network?

🚀 Our personal highlight: the motivation to get the heating transition rolling in their own homes, which was palpable among many of the participants. We would like to thank all the participants and attendees who gave their time to the results dialogues.
