Background

The Smart Recycling Factory (SRF) in Hille aims to establish a high-performance research infrastructure for circular value creation and to anchor it as a regional innovation ecosystem. With the Smart Recycling Factory research infrastructure (FIS SRF), a place is being created where academia, established companies, and start-ups jointly develop, test, and make visible to the public technologies, processes, and business models of the circular economy.

Goals

IREES and the Wuppertal Institute provide proactive process support to the client, KAVG mbH Minden-Lübbecke. This support contributes substantively to the design, structuring, successful establishment, and utilization of the research infrastructure. Accordingly, we understand our role as an active, shaping, and scientifically grounded accompaniment of the overall process.

Tasks of  IREES

  • Active process support with forward-looking planning, the development of robust decision-making foundations, and reliable implementation in close coordination with the client

  • Content-related design through the development of tailored formats for network activation, knowledge transfer, and visibility

  • Contribution of own concepts and ideas from transformation, innovation, and circular economy research

  • Strukturierung, Moderation und inhaltliche Gestaltung der Gremienarbeit durch klare Prozessdefinitionen.

  • Conducting professional moderation and ensuring transparent documentation routines

  • Development and maintenance of a consistent communication package for committee work
