Research Between โ€œSlayโ€ and a Billion Euros ๐ŸŒ | Part 2 of the Conference on Energy Research in Industry and Commerce

Energy research in industry and commerce is one of the keys to achieving the transition to a climate-neutral, resilient, and competitive economy. โšก

In our second Reel, we wanted to know: How would participants describe current energy research in the language of young people? The answers show just how diverse the perspectives areโ€”and how much energy this topic holds:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Tough โ€“ because we have to lay the groundwork today so that the younger generation can live just as we do tomorrow.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Crazy โ€“ a field of research where an incredible amount is happening and thatโ€™s getting more and more exciting.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Stable โ€“ because there are already many good approaches; the key will be how much of this actually translates into practice.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Lost โ€“ because some questions are still open and we have to keep at it.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Slay โ€“ there are enormous opportunities, strong networking, and a very strong research landscape.

We also asked: If you had a billion euros, what would you research?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Broad-based investments โ€“ simultaneously across multiple areas: energy efficiency, new technologies, basic research. Distribute funds evenly, because much of the innovation emerges organically through knowledge transfer anyway.

The answers show: Energy research isnโ€™t just technicalโ€”itโ€™s creative, bold, and full of energy for the future. And itโ€™s driven by people who are already working today on solutions for tomorrow. ๐ŸŒ

Stay tuned for Reel 3โ€”where weโ€™ll discuss specific innovations, challenges, and the next steps on the path to Industry 2050. ๐Ÿš€
