KomDat Project Meeting at SENERCON / co2online

How can district heating providers, building owners, and tenants work together to tap into efficiency potential? We are addressing this question in the KomDat project (https://lnkd.in/ebxZnWSv).

Last week, we met for a project meeting at senercon GmbH / co2online gGmbH (nonprofit) in Berlin. The agenda included progress reports on all work packages, the tools we’ve developed as part of the project, upcoming events, and ideas for additional formats.

We at IREES GmbH presented the current status of our communication concept. It aims to provide concrete answers to the following questions: Who needs what information, from whom, and through which channel, so that data and insights can be turned into concrete actions?

To this end, we are developing target-group-specific recommendations, for example, on adjusting connected load, optimizing flow and return temperatures, and heating behavior. This work is based, among other things, on interviews with district heating providers and discussions with tenants.

Data becomes useful only when the stakeholders understand it and know what options they have for taking action. That is why we are designing the technical tools and communication between stakeholders in tandem.

In upcoming workshops, we plan to discuss our approaches with the target groups and test their practical applicability.
