KomDat: Project Meeting in Karlsruhe
How can we make district heating more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly?
This was the topic of discussion among the project consortium of “KomDat – Communication and Data Exchange Concept between District Heating Providers, Building Owners, and Tenants” at last week’s consortium meeting at Fraunhofer IOSB in Karlsruhe.
The goal of the PtJ-funded KomDat project: Better networking between district heating providers, building owners, and tenants. By exchanging and jointly analyzing existing data, synergies are expected to emerge that benefit all parties involved: lower CO₂ emissions, reduced costs, and greater acceptance for the expansion of green district heating.
The focus of the meeting:
💬 Where are we in the project? The partners presented their current work packages and progress.
🛠️ Which tools can we (further) develop? Ideas and potential for digital solutions were discussed in depth.
🔄 What content must be integrated into the communication concept? The goal is a sustainable approach that builds trust, strengthens dialogue, and meaningfully involves all stakeholders.
Many thanks to Fraunhofer IOSB for their hospitality, and also to the other project partners SAMSON KT-Elektronik and SEnerCon GmbH for the constructive exchange and valuable input!
