The heat planning for Frankfurt am Main is complete!

The municipal heating plan, developed by e-think energy research, Fraunhofer IFAM, Mainova AG and IREES GmbH, has now been officially adopted by the Frankfurt City Council.

The heating plan provides a roadmap for how the city of Frankfurt am Main can transition its heat supply to climate-neutral heating and serves as the foundation for all future projects.

What this means in practice is illustrated by, among other things:

Was das konkret bedeutet, zeigen unter anderem:
🗺️ A map that allows residents to look up the recommended heating solution for their neighbourhood: https://geoportal.frankfurt.de/waermeportal-frankfurt/
📑 A catalogue of 29 measures designed to drive implementation forward: https://klimaschutz-frankfurt.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/Fachgutachten-August-2026.pdf (Kapitel 6)
📅 A public information event for everyone interested on 2 November: https://klimaschutz-frankfurt.de/veranstaltung/wie-heizen-wir-morgen/

We are delighted to have supported the City of Frankfurt am Main on this journey and wish the city, its local businesses and organisations, and all Frankfurt residents every success as they work together towards climate neutrality.
