NEW PROJECT FOR IREES ⚓️
+++++++++++++++++
In order to achieve the climate targets, the Hanseatic City of Hamburg has decided that a mandatory share of renewable energies in the replacement of heating systems from mid 2021 will be stipulated. This obligation to use renewable energies in existing buildings is an effective policy instrument, which Baden-Württemberg was the first federal state to introduce in 2008. Hamburg now also wants to increase the proportion of renewable energies in the building stock and achieve a rapid expansion of the technologies required for this. The aim of the study is to analyse various heat supply systems that fulfil the obligation to use renewable energies in existing buildings. With a view to the current and future building stock in Hamburg, suitable options for action are to be derived from this, with which the new obligation to use renewable energies can be fulfilled, taking into account economic, heat strategy and social considerations. IREES is responsible in the project for the definition and economic analysis of possible innovative heat supply systems.
