Innovative further development, linkage and quality assurance inter-operational planning processes and tools for the stepwise modelling, decision making, implementation, management, monitoring and optimization of low-energy neighborhoods regarding renovation as well as new neighborhood projects in an international context.

Tasks of IREES
Coordination of the evaluation of neighborhood development projects.
Formulation of the neighborhood development process and identification of the relevant actors in the steps of the process chain.
Investigation and selection of already conducted projects in the public and private sector on building and neighborhood level.
Development of an evaluation pattern to evaluate the neighborhood data regarding social-scientific indicators.
Feed-in of the social-scientific factors in the development of the tools for the integrated conception and planning of LEN.
Participation in the Annex 73 of the International Energy Agency „Towards Energy Resilient Neighborhoods “.
