Clients Ministry of Economy Luxembourg

Duration June 2019 – December 2019

Background

Aim of the project is the scientific support of the Ministry of Economy in Luxembourg in order to develop their National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP).
On 30 November 2016, the European Commission published a proposal for reliable and transparent governance of the EU Energy Union to support the EU’s energy and climate goals by 2030. The Energy Union is based on the five dimensions: Decarbonisation, energy efficiency, security of supply, internal market as well as research, innovation and competitiveness. These five dimensions build the structure of the ational Energy and Climate Plans in which the member states present the detailed design of their targets, measures and expected quantitative contributions of individual sectors to reducing emissions and securing security of supply and competitiveness.
