The main objective of the project is to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy in Municipalities, Universities and research institutions in Turkey. The implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects will improve the overall energy system mainly by reducing fossil fuel consumption and transmission loses and will help Turkey in achieving its energy policy targets. The implementation of local projects will increase the public awareness since municipalities and universities have huge impact on local communities. Furthermore, transferring know-how and developing local technologies by increasing R&D activities will have positive impact on the countries energy security and increase the added value of the works.
