Jana Deurer as an expert in the Citizens’ Climate Council of the City of Stuttgart

Jana Deurer was an expert and fact checker at the Citizens’ Climate Council in Stuttgart on Saturday.
The Citizens’ Council consists of 60 randomly selected citizens and was founded on the initiative of the people of Stuttgart in 2021.
The overall question being discussed is what role the city of Stuttgart plays in climate protection and what measures should be taken to help achieve the 1.5 degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement. The focus is on heat supply and mobility. In several sessions, the citizens discuss concrete questions and develop concrete proposals for measures that will then be considered by the city council. They are supported by experts in the field.
