Concept for hydrogen production and qualification

As part of the H2-Companion hydrogen project, IREES, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, has published a paper that addresses education and training in the field of hydrogen. The questions addressed include:

πŸ“˜ To what extent does a hydrogen economy necessitate new training formats in the education sector?
πŸ“š Are there new qualification requirements in education and training?
🏫 What is already happening at the various educational institutions, such as schools, universities, and training centers?

πŸ”Ž And what are some of the results?
Several stakeholders are involved in education-related activities in the model regions and beyond, addressing very different target groups: pupils and teachers at secondary schools and vocational schools, students, entrepreneurs and employees with continuing education needs – and ultimately the general population. While some of the activities are integrated into the H2-Wandel and H2-Genesis model regions – particularly under the umbrella of H2-ToKnow – other stakeholders have not yet established any links with the model regions.

The H2-Companion project will continue to research:
➑️ Economic considerations of different operating modes for electrolysers
➑️ Scenario analyses for the hydrogen market
➑️ A life cycle analysis that calculates the environmental impact of the hydrogen economy
➑️ Acceptance analyses in the model regions concerned
➑️ Considerations of new requirements of the hydrogen economy in the education sector

H2-Companion is funded by the EU’s ERDF fund and the Baden-WΓΌrttemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy.
