Concept for hydrogen production and qualification
As part of the H2-Companion hydrogen project, IREES, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, has published a paper that addresses education and training in the field of hydrogen. The questions addressed include:
π To what extent does a hydrogen economy necessitate new training formats in the education sector?
π Are there new qualification requirements in education and training?
π« What is already happening at the various educational institutions, such as schools, universities, and training centers?
π And what are some of the results?
Several stakeholders are involved in education-related activities in the model regions and beyond, addressing very different target groups: pupils and teachers at secondary schools and vocational schools, students, entrepreneurs and employees with continuing education needs β and ultimately the general population. While some of the activities are integrated into the H2-Wandel and H2-Genesis model regions β particularly under the umbrella of H2-ToKnow β other stakeholders have not yet established any links with the model regions.
π π …and more answers?! The entire paper is linked here:

The H2-Companion project will continue to research:
β‘οΈ Economic considerations of different operating modes for electrolysers
β‘οΈ Scenario analyses for the hydrogen market
β‘οΈ A life cycle analysis that calculates the environmental impact of the hydrogen economy
β‘οΈ Acceptance analyses in the model regions concerned
β‘οΈ Considerations of new requirements of the hydrogen economy in the education sector
H2-Companion is funded by the EU’s ERDF fund and the Baden-WΓΌrttemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy.
