Exciting study on intelligent room heating management in the Detmold district building: potential savings and sensitisation of employees
Our colleague Dr Karin Schakib-Ekbatan, in collaboration with colleagues from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences (Prof. Susanne Schwickert and Maria González), has published a study investigating the effects of a low-investment measure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through intelligent room heat management (iRWM) at the main administration building of the district of Lippe as part of a façade refurbishment. This system, which incorporates the experiences of the users, is also to be applied to other properties in the district of Lippe that cannot be comprehensively refurbished in the short term if the savings potential is proven. The study was published by Fraunhofer IRB in the Bauen + Kompakt series.
