Eight new climate protection companies honored

Last Monday, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) honoured eight new companies as climate protection companies. As a member of the advisory board, our Managing Director Jan Steinbach gave a speech in honour of Dietz GmbH. The medium-sized family business is one of the leading manufacturers of precision springs, hybrid assemblies and stamped and formed parts.

In order to become a climate protection company, it is checked whether a company is actually taking substantial measures to protect the environment and the climate. The advisory board assesses the environmental practices, investments and efforts to reduce the ecological footprint.

In his speech, Jan Steinbach particularly praised the specific measures and the energy and environmental management system practised by Dietz GmbH. This is also reflected in the ambitious target, as Dietz GmbH plans to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% within 5 years by 2025 and to increase its own electricity production from 2% to 15% by 2030. In addition, the company also makes an important contribution to sustainability through numerous activities, such as sensitising its employees, annual environmental weeks and its participation in numerous networks in which it expands and passes on its knowledge.
