Municipal heat planning for the city of Nuremberg

We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for our latest project – the creation of the municipal heating plan for the city of Nuremberg.

By commissioning the municipal heating plan, the city of Nuremberg is starting the process of carrying out and implementing heating planning at an early stage, even before the nationwide obligation to do so exists, and is thus joining the ranks of pioneering cities in this area.

The city of Nuremberg has set itself the ambitious goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions per inhabitant by 65% by 2030 and becoming climate-neutral by 2040. The decarbonization of the heat supply plays a major role in this.

As part of the municipal heating plan, concrete technology solution proposals are being developed to derive short, medium and long-term measures in a heating turnaround strategy. The municipal heating plan thus forms the basis for a greenhouse gas-neutral building stock and a greenhouse gas-neutral heat supply.

We look forward to working with our colleagues from e-think energy research and the City of Nuremberg!
