In Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, citizen dialogue is a top priority: the mayor regularly invites citizens to a meeting where current and upcoming projects are presented and questions are answered. This time, IREES GmbH, e-think energy research, and Stadtwerke Neumarkt i.d.OPf. Energie GmbH were there to share the latest findings from municipal heat planning.

Dr. Jan Steinbach and Mario Forster showed the potential for local renewable heat in Neumarkt, which areas are likely to be suitable for heating networks, and what a CO2-neutral heat supply for Neumarkt could look like in 2045.
