Michelle Antretter
Michelle Antretter studied for a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Engineering at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences on the Sankt Augustin campus before moving to the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg for a Master’s degree in Sustainable Systems Engineering. During her Master’s degree, she spent a period abroad in the USA at the Fraunhofer USA CMI in Boston in the field of “Energy Systems”. She then returned to Freiburg to write her Master’s thesis at Fraunhofer ISE. In this thesis, she conducted a techno-economic analysis of the combination of bidirectional vehicle fleets and stationary battery storage in various energy management use cases in companies.
Since April 2025, she has been working at IREES as a research assistant in the field of climate-neutral industry.
