Comprehensive Assessment Heating and Cooling

Background
According to Article 14 of the Energy Efficiency Directive, Member States are obliged to submit an assessment of the efficiency of heating and cooling supply to the European Commission every five years.
In this context, the aim of the project is to prepare the official report on the Comprehensive Assessment Heating and Cooling for Germany in order to meet the requirements of the European Commission. This includes an overview of the heating and cooling sector including the technologies used. The investigation of the potential for using industrial waste heat as well as the use of renewable energies in heating networks. A forecast and trends for the development of the heating and cooling sector in the next 30 years as well as a presentation of the political instruments and strategies and their contribution to the achievement of the objectives.
