Catrice Christ has been working as project coordinator at IREES since March 2018. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Information and Communication Management, she obtained a Master’s degree (M.A.) in European Development Cooperation from the University Autònoma in Barcelona and a Master’s degree (M.A.) in European Studies from the University of Hamburg.
After her studies, she first worked as an expert for the GIZ in the department “Good Governance and Human Rights”. Afterwards, she was employed as an Operations Analyst for the World Bank/IFC in Washington D. C., where she worked in the area of private sector development for the Doing Business project. Her main areas of work included the quantitative analysis and further development of indicators, the communication and cooperation with external partners in 190 countries as well as the publication of thematic studies. Before joining IREES, she worked as a freelance consultant and was involved in various projects for the United Nations, amongst others in a project to promote urban development within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
She speaks German, English, French and Spanish.
