Dr. Sophie Lohmann

Dr. Sophie Lohmann joined IREES GmbH in 2022 as a senior scientist in the Social Science Evaluation business unit. Previously, she worked as a research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research on the topics of digitalization, health, and sustainability.

Sophie Lohmann studied psychology at the University of Hamburg. She then lived in the U.S. for five years and completed her doctorate in social psychology and quantitative psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The topic of her PhD was “Going all in or going slow: Preferences for radical versus incremental trajectories of behavior change” and her focus was on mechanisms of attitude and behavior change and communication campaigns.
