Lennart Bunnenberg studied Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc.) and Energy Science and Engineering (M.Sc.) at TU Darmstadt with a focus on the techno-economic and ecological assessment of energy technologies. In his master’s thesis, he dealt with the waste heat utilization potential of hydrogen-based smelting plants.
Since February 2022, Lennart has been working as a research assistant for IREES in the business unit “Energy Policy and Energy Technologies”. Here he is working intensively on measures to decarbonize the energy-intensive primary industry and the associated technical, economic and regulatory issues.
